Abstract
In recent years the process of cell elongation in plants has been studied by various investigators, Paal,(10) Went,(12) Cholodny,(3) and others. In these investigations it was proved that this process takes place under influence of a special substance, the so-called growth-substance ("Wuchsstoff").
