Abstract
We report the first measurements of σAB, the surface energy associated with the interface between the A and B phases of superfluid 3He as they coexist at TAB. At melting pressure we find σAB=6×10^-6 erg cm^-2 in no magnetic field (TAB/TC=0.79) rising to σAB=1.6×10^-5 erg cm^-2 in a magnetic field of 4 kOe (TAB/TC=0.5). Theoretical calculations that we present give an estimate about 50% larger.
