Who is this site by?

This is an experiment in the collaborative writing of the history of materials science and engineering. The collaboration works on two levels:

1. The staff itself and the board of senior advisors have scientists and historical writers
2. We are collaborating with the Materials Research Society to identify researchers who will participate.

The site itself is shaped through a continuous interdisciplinary dialog between the 3 main staff - respectively historian, philosopher and materials scientist:
