Abstract
We review recent exptl. results on the unimol. chem. of org. peroxy radicals. We describe metods for measuring the rate coeffs. and products of this chem. A major focus of this work is to describing the rates and products of H-shift and endocylization reactions in substituted radicals, such as alcs., peroxides derived from alkanes, aldehydes, and biogenically-derived alkenes. We illustrate how the structure of these peroxy radicals, including their stereochem., can inhibit or accelerate the rate of this chem.
