Abstract

Flowing aq. solns. over inorg. nanolayers are reported to produce currents at modest flow velocities of ~1 cm s⁻¹. Atom probe tomog. and atomistic computer simulations aimed at elucidating the underlying mechanism of energy transduction are discussed.
