Abstract
Transition-metal catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution processes are powerful tactics for the enantioselective construction of a diverse scope of C-C bonds. This chapter highlights some of the most significant developments in the field of C-C bond forming asymmetric allylic substitutions from c. 2010–2020. This includes coverage of new developments in well-established Pd-catalysis, as well as the recent emergence of other metals such as Rh, Ir, and Cu. This entry endeavors to emphasize the increasing diversity and state-of-the-art in transition metal-catalyzed allylic substitutions rather than provide a comprehensive review.
