Betsy Coles
Betsy Coles, Technical Manager of Digital Library Systems at the California Institute of Technology, graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1977. Before joining the Caltech Library System, she was Principal Programmer and Analyst for UCLA Library Information Systems, where she was a key developer of the integrated library system (ORION) and of the campus-wide information system (Info UCLA). Coles is a recognized specialist in SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), in other textual markup languages, and in networked systems.
