Abstract
Over the past decade, a variety of new initiators based olefin metathesis have been developed for the synthesis of polymers with controlled structures. These polymers with low polydispersities can be prepd. with block or random structures. The functional group tolerance of the systems allow for a wide array of functionality to be included in the monomers used. Applications ranging from labeled nanoparticles to photonic crystals will be demonstrated.
