Abstract

Recent synthetic advancements have made it possible to produce substituted derivs. of meso-5,10,15-(tris) pentafluorophenylcorrole (H_3tpfc) in reasonable yields. We present the scalable syntheses of new H_3tpfc derivs., and a few of their metal complexes, through nucleophilic arom. substitution on the pentafluorophenyl substituents. These complexes have potential applications both as imaging agents and chemotherapeutic drugs.
