Abstract

The anionic, bidentate phosphine ligand [Ph_2B(CH_2PPh_2))_2]. ([Ph_2BP_2]), has been prepared and employed as an auxiliary ligand for species of the type [(Ph_2BP_2)PtXY] (X, Y=alkyl, aryl, halide). C-H and other bond activation processes for (Ph_2BP_2)PtYL complexes have been elucidated, the results of which will be presented.
