Abstract
The author of this book, Dr. Kiyoshi Muto, was Professor of Structural Engineering at Tokyo University until his retirement a few years ago. The book under review is the first in a series of volumes which will embody the research done by Dr. Muto during his long career. The contents of this first volume will be of particular interest to practicing structural engineers.
