Abstract

DNA viruses can easily borrow proteins from the cells they infect to help replicate their own genomes, because cells too need to replicate DNA. But what do RNA viruses do? In his Perspective, Strauss summarizes new work leading to the identification of the host proteins that RNA viruses redirect to help replicate their RNA genomes.
