The reactions ^2H(d,d)^2H and ^2H(d,p)^3H have been studied for bombarding energies between 3 MeV and 11 MeV. This range of energy corresponds to the region in the compound nucleus ^4He between excitation energies of 25.3 and 29.3 MeV. The yield curves obtained are smoothly varying, and there is no indication of a resonance with an appreciable deuteron partial width.
