The ^1J(^(13)C, ^(199)Hg) spin–spin coupling constants have been studied for dibenzylmercury in various solvents. A linear correlation was found between ^1J(^(13)C, ^(199)Hg) and the ^2J(^1H, C, ^(199)Hg) constants obtained earlier for the same solutions.
