Abstract

We present calculations of the differential cross section for elastic scattering of electrons by adsorbed water, aimed at finding correlations between the angular distribution of the scattered electrons and the orientation of the adsorbed molecule. Our results suggest that such angular distributions can be used to determine molecular orientation.
