Abstract

An enhancement near the ωp threshold has been observed with a mass of 1820 MeV and a width of about 120 MeV from the reaction π-p→π-ωp at 4.5, 6, and 14 GeV/c. There is no strong evidence for πN or ρN decay modes. We examine spin and parity and production characteristics.
