Abstract

Dimethylplatinum(II) complexes (L−L)Pt(CH_3)_2 (L−L = bpy, phen, tmeda) are oxidized by dioxygen in methanol to the corresponding alkoxoplatinum(IV) complexes (L−L)Pt(CH_3)_2(OH)(OCH_3).
