Abstract

Modern applications of polymers require the fundamental development of new materials with specifically designed functions that may be scalably synthesized, for wide-ranging performance applications including both commodity scale and specialty applications. This talk will highlight developments in synthetic polymer chem. that enable the prodn. Of useful materials including high performance thermosets, ion transporting materials for energy applications, and biocompatible glues for a variety surgical applications.
