Abstract

10 Hz repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) administered to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) is a highly effective treatment for depression. The mechanism of action of stimulation is thought to be related to transmission of local stimulation to other brain regions through brain networks. The neurophysiologic spread of this signal has not been well described.
