Abstract

Davis & Djorgovski (1985) described a correlation, between the clustering properties and characteristic surface brightness of UGC galaxies. The existence of such an effect is of considerable importance for theories of galaxy formation. In this contribution., we are trying to clarify some questions and problems about this intriguing phenomenon.
