Biological Detectors using Ultra-High-Q Microresonators

Abstract

Ultra-high Q toroidal resonators have demonstrated the ability to maintain Q>100 million in an aqueous environment. These quality factors enable ultra-sensitive detection of D_2O in H_2O (1ppmv) and biological molecules.
