Abstract
We use observations of the intensity of anomalous cosmic ray oxygen in the outer heliosphere near the last solar minimum period, in conjunction with observations of the average tilt of the neutral current sheet, to estimate that the solar wind termination shock was at 62 ± 2 AU during the time period 1986.5 - 1988.5 and that the flux of 7.1 - 17.1 MeV/nuc anomalous cosmic ray oxygen at the shock was 1.27 ± 0.04 p/m^2 sec sr MeV/nuc.
