Abstract
We report on picosecond/molecular beam studies of alkylanilines. The studies reveal important discrepancies between real-time measurements and inferences from spectral broadening data. We observe quantum recurrences and we find that the observed severe spectral congestion does not correspond to the observed coherence. The effect of mode symmetry and energy on IVR dynamics is also examined.
