Isotopic Composition of Solar Energetic Particles Observed in the October/November, 1992 Solar Flares
Abstract
We report on abundances of >20 MeV/nuc Ne and Mg isotopes measured during two large solar flares in October and November, 1992, by the Mass Spectrometer Telescope on SAMPEX. The observed ^(22)Ne/^(20)Ne ratio of -0.07 is consistent with the solar wind value of 0.073, in contrast to previous SEP measurements in which ^(22)Ne was substantially enhanced.
