Abstract
In this Letter, we report direct picosecond measurements of decay rates in a beam of isoquinoline, excited to different vibrational states in the second (S_2) excited electronic state (ππ^*). IVR and IER are discussed in relation to the proximity of the S_2 electronic state to a nearby S_1 (nπ^*) electronic state, and to internal conversion to the ground state.
