Abstract
A simple mechanism for the broadening of optical and ODMR transitions of guest molecules in both lattices is provided. According to this mechanism the broadening results from the random spin-orbital interactions caused by electronic energy fluctuations (inhomogeneous) in the singlet and triplet states. Comparison of the theoretical findings of the model with experiments is made and new predictions are given.
